What is the ISDN Switch Off?
By 2025, BT will switch off all ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) lines and shift them to SIP (Session Initiation Protocol). Since 1986, we’ve relied on ISDN phone lines to make and answer calls. Now, we’ll use SIP to call, video and share messages over the internet.
In addition to the ISDN network, the PSTN network (analogue lines) will be switched off at the same time. Many broadband services reliant on this technology will need to be upgraded before the switch off.
The move to a digital future is bright. But it brings a lot of disruption – something you don’t want for your business or customers. Here’s where a cloud phone system comes in.

Why make the move to a cloud phone system?
A fully hosted phone system allows us to be an extension of your team, all while being mobile. Changing to cloud technology will:
Save you money – Cloud phone systems deliver high-quality calls whilst saving you 30-60% off your monthly rental line.
Implement flexible working practices – Phone calls, messaging and video conferencing can now be picked up at the office, at home or on the road.
Help you scale – The phone system is hosted over the internet. No need for costly hardware or disruptive installs. Everything you need is just a click away.
Boost performance levels – a cloud phone system seamlessly integrates into any business. You’ll see
improved communication, collaboration and better results.
Increase broadband speeds – by upgrading to full fibre services, significantly improved speeds will be achieved.
